In fact we still have two outstanding items that are still not completed that were promised to be completed weeks ago. We are working with Malachi now but he said yesterday it is still being reviewed by Managers. We are grateful however that we have seen progress over the long haul but the length of time to complete has been excessive.

The Home Ranch
Each guest who wants to ride horseback is paired with a horse of their own for the week, which is very nice for consistency. Wranglers divide up rides into small groups based on ability levels and desires . Every wrangler we rode with was excellent, and I never rode the same trail twice. The topography varies between high mountain meadows, woods, and ridges, with plenty of interesting moments as horses picked their way carefully down steep grades or loped along fence lines . Lunch is served on the front deck, and always included sandwich makings, a variety of salads and veggies, two soup options, and something on the grill every day.
I personally fixed two issues that the trades said would require tearing out garage trim and back yard stucco. Also, had to personally help the electrician fix a basement fixture that was never connected to the light circuit. Other unique dude ranch offerings include sleigh rides and trail rides in the snow. My instructor and I hardly ever saw anyone else as we weaved through silver-and-white aspen groves and open meadows packed with champagne powder.

And even better, cabins and the main lodge are intersected by trails, so it’s easy to squeeze in multiple ski or snowshoeing sessions throughout the day. Ive been told several times that they wont fix the plaster holes that air bubbles caused due to poor craftsmanship. I have a few walls that are off square buy visible amounts.
Classic has responded to all of my inquiries and concerns. I think the floor installation was done incorrectly even though they have fixed a few issues, but overall, it was either rushed or something. Grout in the shower, thought most builders had gone away from grout, so hard to clean. Appliances are pretty low end - center burner on stove doesn't work and cannot be used as it leaks gas around it. Dishwasher doesn't clean unless you rinse all dishes first.

I have a toilet that causes negative pressure while flushing and occasionally "burps" sewage air into the master suite. Had the original "warranty" guy get belligerent in my house to the point of forcing him to leave. The light fixtures on the front of garage were cut so large theres a 1/2 of caulking to cover it up. The tile in the master suite is 2 different colors and was told that its normal.... The tile in master suite is also off square by about 3/4 inch over 6 feet.
Over the course of my stay, I shared the ranch with just one to three couples per day. As a result, there was plenty of time for easy conversation at the communal dining tables, especially when Selina Heintz, director of guest services for more than a decade and a Clark native, joined us for a meal. Gage also led the mountain biking, which included single track and dirt road biking on The Home Ranch’s off-site property, called Murphy-Larson. He also leads additional rides into the national forest land adjacent the ranch, when permitted. In addition to the elevated cuisine and service, the amount of included activities at The Home Ranch is what sets it apart for me from the others we visited.
As in, ‘Yes, we can accommodate that’, or, ‘Yes, we’ll make that happen’, or ‘Yes, you most certainly can’. And yes, this ‘can do’ attitude is a delight to hear during a dude ranch vacation. Your accommodations are first class with a private room in our beautiful Black Mesa Lodge. Our lodge is a modern 10,000 square foot building. It also has a dining room, cash bar, big screen television and other wonderful amenities.
The price that we signed on the contract is the price we paid at closing. Even with COVID delays our house finished in a timely manner. I appreciate the wolf ranch sales staff; Jennifer, Kimberly and Josh were awesome.
The honor bar in the lodge is fully stocked with a good variety of wines, local beers, liquors, and all the mixers you might need. Just go in and help yourself, writing down any selections on the provided tickets organized by cabin or room name. Wine, cocktails and beer can be ordered at dinner as well. Each dinner menu offered two featured wine suggestions, but everything in the bar is available during meals as well. If you book a stay at The Home Ranch, located just outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado, you’d better get used to hearing the word ‘yes’.
Additional perks include the children’s program and children’s meals. A smaller guest count means a better experience for all. This is one ranch that truly has a vast amount of activity for families, with ease of planning.
