During this past weekend, 13 teams in the HSFA 100 won state championships. BC will play arch-rival Don Bosco Prep Saturday for the Non-Public A state championship. During the regular season, the undefeated Crusaders shut out Bosco 17-0 on September 24. A showdown between No. 2 Westlake and No. 61 Lake Travis looms this week with the Texas District 26-6A championship on the line. The rivalry game, known as the "Battle of the Lakes," began in 2006. Westlake will be looking for its second straight Texas high school football championship when the playoffs begin in two weeks.

Dr. Kramer Santamaria is the former Director of the Anita Uphaus Early Childhood Center, an early childhood dual language school for pre-k and Kindergarten students in Austin, Texas. Dr. Kramer Santamaria has over 20 years of experience in education ranging from being an elementary school Principal, to overseeing teacher training and education, to being the Director of Parent Programs.
Dr. Daniel P. King serves as an education and healthcare advisor to Education Results Partnership. A long-time public school Superintendent, Dr. King was named state Superintendent of the Year in 2006 by the Texas Association of School Boards. In 2019, Dr. King retired as Superintendent of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District . Under his leadership, PSJA reduced the number of annual dropouts and increased the four-year graduation rate and overall high school completion rates to surpass state averages. This past weekend was another topsy-turvy one, with three Top-25 teams losing for the first time this year and shaking up the High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football. St. Francis scored with sixteen seconds to go in the game and handed No. 18 De La Salle its first loss against a northern California opponent in 30 years. The 318-game streak began after the Spartans lost their final game in 1991 to Pittsburg in the North Coast Section championship game. De La Salle dropped to No. 63, and St. Francis entered the Top 100 at No. 61, the highest-ranking ever for the Lancers. The three-time defending Pennsylvania 6A champs dropped to No. 49 this week, and Milton climbed to No. 47 after a 3-1 start. Creekside is making its first-ever appearance in the Top 100, coming in at No. 79 this week after season-opening wins over defending 7A champ Grayson and Westlake this past weekend.
From the institution's founding until it was merged into the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley , it grew from 200 students to over 20,000, making UTPA the 10th-largest university in Texas. The majority of these students were natives of the Rio Grande Valley. UTPA also operated an Upper Level Studies Center in Rio Grande City, Starr County, Texas. On August 15, 2014, Dr. Havidan Rodriguez was appointed interim President of UTPA, the institution's final leader.
Dr. Catherine Ayoub is a licensed psychologist and nurse practitioner whose work at the Brazelton Touchpoints Center includes program development, research, evaluation, consultation, and training. She is responsible for overseeing the evaluation efforts at the Center and is presently engaged in research around child, family, and system-level assessment with attention to evidence-based practice. Raised in Mexico, Dr. Ayoub comes from a multicultural background and has special expertise in clinical work, program development, and research with Latino families. Rosario is the Parent Policy Council Chair for the AVANCE Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Starr and Zapata Counties. A Starr County native, Rosario is a stay-at-home mother of four, who loves the HS/EHS programs and what they do for children and the community.

With two weeks left in the season, five teams are on the hunt for the 2021 High School Football America national title. The last Texas team to win a High School Football America national championship was the Allen Eagles, who won three straight titles from 2012 through 2014. With one month to go until the 2021 High School Football America national champ is crowned, Mater Dei continues to control its destiny. However, if the Monarchs slip up, there are three Texas high school football teams in the Top 5 waiting to ascend to the top spot. In Arizona, No. 11 Chandler and No. 16 Hamilton will face off to wrap up the regular season.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 3 St. John Bosco plays No. 87 Los Alamitos. The winner of the SJB/Los Al game gets the winner of the other quarterfinal game between No. 19 Servite and No. 121 Santa Margarita. In Georgia, No. 18 Collins Hill finished out a perfect 10-0 regular season by beating formerly undefeated No. 82 Mill Creek. Collins Hill held steady at No. 18, while Mill Creek fell to No. 85 this week. The road to another High School Football America national championship is very straight for Mater Dei . There are five new teams in the HSFA 100 this week — DePaul at No. 93, Santa Margarita at No. 95, Mill Creek at No. 96, Rockwall-Heath at No. 98, and Bryant at No. 99.
